Why Maximus uses a Derma Stamp

The Hair Improvement Protocol includes a custom Derma Stamp with 1.5mm titanium microneedles. You'll use it weekly to maximize absorption and stimulate follicles. Studies have shown that when you combine minoxidil (a key ingredient) with microneedling, you can boost hair growth by 4x. Unlike other dermarollers, which may tug and even tear skin, Maximus’ Derma Stamp device applies evenly*

Derma Roller

Derma Roller

The Derma Roller is a microneedling device. It is the predecessor to the Derma Stamp, and consists of a rolling-pin that is covered in tiny needles that roll across your skin or scalp.

Some patients report that the Derma Roller is less precise and can get caught in the hair, causing tugging on the skin.

Derma Stamp

The Derma Stamp pen is a targeted microneedling tool that contains 40 titanium needles that are used to puncture the skin or scalp. The size of the stamp that contains the needles is around the same size as a fingertip.

The Derma Stamp is an ideal tool to boost hair growth, treat isolated scars as well as other difficult to reach areas.

Contact Support

Will the Hair Improvement gel make my hair look greasy once applied?

No, The Hair Improvement Protocol uses a dehydrated base to prevent giving the hair a greasy appearance once applied.

Can I use the Hair Improvement Protocol with other Maximus Protocols?

Yes. Many men experience the greatest improvements when on more than one Maximus protocol as they are complementary and hold no contraindications. Your dedicated Maximus doctor will review holistically your health goals and symptoms to ensure you achieve the optimal results whether you are on one or more protocol.

Can I use the Hair Improvement gel if I’m taking other hair loss treatments (ie, finasteride, minoxidil)?

Yes, though you typically should not overlap medications. It is not necessary and may increase risk of adverse effects. Please disclose all medications you are taking with your Maximus doctor so they can advise further.

Can I use the Hair Improvement Protocol if I’ve had a hair transplant?

Yes, but only once it has healed. Please consult the doctor that performed the transplant to confirm when topicals may be safely applied. Disclose this information to your Maximus doctor.

What is the cost and what’s included?

$199.99- The protocol includes your doctor consultation, Derma Stamp tool, prescription medication (if qualified) and free priority shipping. If you are not a candidate for treatment, you'll be eligible for a refund, less $30 for the initial doctor's consultation.

How do I know the Hair Improvement Protocol is working?

As part of each refill you will have the opportunity to send new pictures of your hair growth, which will be shared with your doctor so that you can discuss results and track your progress over time.

Does the Hair Improvement Protocol have any adverse effects?

The ingredients used in the Hair Improvement Protocol pose minimal risk of side effects.

Erythema (redness of the skin) is the most common side effect associated with topical application of latanoprost. ¹

Side effects associated with minoxidil use are rare but include dryness, itching, scaling, flaking, redness. ²
