How do GLP-1s work?

GLP-1 is a hormone that regulates blood sugar levels and appetite. It is released after meals and affects the pancreas, stomach, and brain. Its main role is to stimulate insulin release and reduce glucagon levels, helping maintain glucose balance. GLP-1 also slows stomach emptying, making you feel full and reducing appetite. It acts on the brain to control food intake and promote weight management.

Stimulate weight loss

GLP-1s assist in weight loss by influencing certain parts of the brain that help reduce cravings. They can make you feel full more quickly and boost your energy levels.

Preserve lean mass

Our coaching and education program is designed to preserve lean mass loss through diet and training regiments.

Reduce inflammation

GLP-1s are clinically proven to reduce inflammation markers, such as CRPs (C-Reactive Proteins) to decrease inflammatory response and oxidative stress.

Regulate blood sugar

GLP-1s regulate blood sugar levels by increasing insulin and decreasing glucagon. They also improve metabolism by increasing insulin sensitivity and regulating fat cell development.

Balance digestion

GLP-1s help slow down the speed food travels from your stomach to your intestines. By controlling how sugar is absorbed in your intestines, this helps you feel satisfied and full for a longer time.

Feel fuller faster and longer

Tirzepatide is the first medication to target both the GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) and GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide) receptors, which are involved in controlling the body's release of insulin.

Semaglutide is one of many diabetic medications already on the market that target GLP-1. In tests, tirzepatide demonstrated its ability to lower blood sugar levels and outperformed semaglutide or long-acting insulins. Tirzepatide is also being researched as an obesity therapy.

Who is eligible for treatment?

A GLP-1 agonist might be for you if you need an adjuvant for lifestyle modifications in losing weight or controlling metabolic parameters, like blood glucose. If you have a BMI of over 25 and a comorbidity associated with your weight, you are an eligible candidate for treatment.

Can I use these products as a woman?

Yes – Weight Loss Protocol is available to both men and women.

If I have been previously prescribed GLP-1, can I start at that dosage with Maximus?

If you have documentation of previous GLP-1 agonist usage, our providers will work with you to find an optimal dose that matches your profile.

Will I be on this product for life?

GLP-1 agonists are designed to complement a healthy diet and regular exercise regimen. While these lifestyle choices are generally long-term commitments, the duration of use for this product isn't necessarily indefinite. It's crucial to have ongoing discussions with your healthcare provider about the appropriateness and duration of use for this product tailored to your individual needs.

Which treatment option is best for me, semaglutide or tirzepatide?

Both semaglutide and tirzepatide have been shown to be extremely effective in helping patients lose weight. Semaglutide has been shown to help patients lose 14.9% of body weight over 68 weeks (2.4mg once per week), while tirzepatide has been shown to help patients lose 20.9% of body weight over 72 weeks (15mg once per week).

For those seeking the more affordable option, we recommend semaglutide. For those seeking the most effective treatment, we recommend tirzepatide

What are the other health side effects I should be considering?

We compound our protocol with Vitamin B6 to help combat common side effects associated with GLP-1 agonist usage such as nausea and gastrointestinal distress.

How much weight, specifically, can I expect to lose?

Using Semaglutide and combined with dietary changes and exercise, patients can expect to lose an average of 16.9% over 60 weeks, but can lose up to 20% of their weight.

Using Tirzepatide and combined with dietary changes and exercise, patients lose on average 22.5% of body weight in 72 weeks.

How long until I see results?

Your results are contingent upon adherence to diet and exercise. Appetite suppression and craving reduction starts shortly after beginning the medication. Noticeable results in weight loss start within the first few weeks after the medication reaches a steady state dosage.

Is there any harm in injecting myself? Is there a best place to inject?

Most GLP-1 agonists are administered safely as subcutaneous injections, meaning they are injected into the fatty layer of tissue just under the skin. The best places for these injections are typically the abdomen, thighs, or upper arms, where there is sufficient fatty tissue. Always rotate the injection site each time to avoid skin issues. Practice proper hygiene, injection techniques, and safety measures.

How does/can this work with other Maximus Protocols?

The GLP-1 protocol can be used as an adjuvant to the other Maximus protocols to boost your overall well being in all facets of your life.

How is the this Protocol different from other GLP-1 products on the market?

The Maximus weight loss protocol offers GLP-1 agonists compounded with vitamin B6 to help with potential nausea that may be experienced. The weight loss protocol also includes psychologist-led coaching and exclusive content to support healthy weight loss (focused on preserving lean muscle mass while losing fat).

Does the protocol have adverse side effects?
