How do I take this medication?
If prescribed, you'll apply the indicated amount daily to areas on your body with thin skin, and preferably not fatty areas. The scrotum, inner arms/wrists, lateral sides of the abdomen, and inner thighs are all areas that can work.
What is the effect on liver enzymes?
TRT cream has minimal effects on liver enzymes. It avoids hepatic circulation and prevents potential occurence of hepatotoxic effects (liver damage).
Elevations in liver enzymes, the prototypical sign of liver toxicity, were not seen with native testosterone.
What is the cost and what’s included?
The treatment cost for the Testosterone Replacement Protocol is dependent on whether you're subscribing monthly, quarterly, or annually. It includes doctor consultation and medication (if qualified). There are no membership fees, shipping fees, or additional charges for chatting with your doctor.

Can I use my previous blood tests to qualify?
Yes! If you have bloodwork from the last 6 months that shows Total Testosterone, SHBG (or free testosterone), LH, PSA, and Hematocrit (HCT), you can upload your results during the sign up process.
Can I use my HSA or FSA card to pay for Testosterone Protocol?
Maximus accepts Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA).
Using your HSA/FSA is easy. Simply use your HSA/FSA card as you would any other debit or credit card when providing your billing information.
HSA/FSA plans vary on what services they are willing to cover. If you are uncertain whether your plan covers Maximus' services, check with your plan administrator.
Does TRT Gel have adverse side effects?
Side effects may include acne, change in libido, hair loss, increase in blood pressure, increase in hematocrit and hemoglobin, increase in PSA. PSA increases are negligible, minimal effect of blood pressure, and hematocrit increases are the lowest out of all forms of testosterone.
For those who are prone to hair loss, dutasteride can be requested from your provider. Dutasteride is a potent 5-alpha reductase inhibitor that prevents the conversion of testosterone to DHT, which is the main culprit in androgenic alopecia (male pattern baldness). An additional benefit of using dutasteride in combination with oral testosterone, is the increase in total testosterone without changing the dose of the oral testosterone.
How will this impact testosterone (free, total)?
Free testosterone measurement is a result of SHBG, and albumin, so increasing total testosterones will result in an increase in free testosterone given the other variables stay the same.
How long until I see a difference in my testosterone levels?
Individual results may vary; TRT Cream results are usually seen in the first few weeks.
Oral enclomiphene citrate raises testosterone and preserves sperm counts in obese hypogonadal men, unlike topical testosterone: restoration instead of replacement.
Do I have to worry about estrogen-related side effects like gynecomastia?
TRT can cause estrogen-related side effects like gynecomastia. Your doctor will monitor estrogen levels, but please report any side effects directly to your doctor for best ongoing treatment.
How many labs do I need to take? What type of labs? Can I bring my own labs?
You will need to take baseline labs encompassing Testosterone, LH, FSH, SHBG, Estradiol, HCT, and TPSA to deem eligibility for treatment. All these tests can be conveniently completed using Tasso devices, which are at-home blood test kits. We will send kits to you together, making it easy and efficient for you to complete all the required tests at once.
You can bring your own labs as long as the test was completed within the last 6 months of screening for treatment eligibility.
Treatment requires a baseline lab, a lab after your first month, after your third month, and annually thereafter.
How does work if I’m currently on TRT? Enclomiphene? Clomid?
If you are currently on Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT), enclomiphene or clomid, you can easily switch to TRT Gel. A cessation period is not required.
For those currently using enclomiphene, and wish to continue taking it during TRT treatment, continue taking your medication. You will be instructed to adjust your dosage to a level determined by your healthcare provider.
Do I refrigerate or freeze this product?
There's no need to refrigerate or freeze this product. We recommend storing the medication in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight. This helps to maintain the effectiveness and quality of the product over time. Ensuring it's kept in these conditions will help in preserving its potency and safety
How does the Maximus TRT Gel compare to Androgel?
While Androgel works well for some men, its ability to raise total testosterone numbers is limited. The gel TRT formula we offer is formulated with a superior base for better absorption. This formula shows consistently higher testosterone numbers when applied correctly.
Is there any risk of transference to children or women?
Yes, transference is possible, use caution to avoid exposure. Wash your hands after application of the gel. Cover the area with clothing. For extra protection, you can wash the area 2 hours after application. Doing so any earlier may interfere with absorption.
How does the money-back guarantee work?
Maximus guarantees that all of our Testosterone Protocols will increase your testosterone by at least 10% in the first 90 days of treatment. Customers will track their levels with CLIA certified blood tests (both before starting the protocol to establish a baseline, as well as after taking the medication, as directed, for at least 30 days).
